Nate Diaz Next Fight on August 5, 2023

Jake Paul is considering former UFC man Nate Diaz as his next fight after his loss to Tommy Fury.

The former social media personality will face the MMA veteran in an eight-round cruiserweight bout on August 5 at American Airlines Center in Dallas.

Paul snapped his previous undefeated streak against Fury in Saudi Arabia earlier in the year, standing at 6-1 with four knockouts.

Nate Diaz is a 21-time champion in MMA but will make his professional boxing debut in Texas. He inflicted Conor McGregor's first loss in his UFC days.

These two have been in an escalating war of words in recent months and Paul will look to avoid a potential fight with fellow media personality-turned-boxer KSI.

The Briton previously defeated American brother Logan in his only professional fight in 2019, but Paul says he wants to test himself further after his loss to Fury.

"My last game did not end as expected, but the result was the best that could have happened. As for my boxing career aspirations.” Paul said in a statement.

"Now, the world thinks I'm weak, when all I do is more focused than ever. My team wanted me to take after an easy fight like KSI, but that's not how I'm bound."

"Nate Diaz is considered one of the best bad-ass fighters of all time, but he and his team have been running their mouths for far too long."

Diaz also threw down the gauntlet, adding: "I'm the king of combat sports. I f***** up Conor for making a play and now here I am again, like a superhero."
